Let’s talk about something most people avoid: how society blindly mutilates baby boys and pats itself on the back for it—then calls it “normal,” “medical,” or even “clean.”

The real issue? Nobody’s thinking. They’re just Googling their opinions and calling it research. Welcome to the echo chamber, where judgment is loud but discernment is dead.

What Is an Echo Chamber?



An echo chamber is when you only surround yourself with information that agrees with you. It’s what happens when people search for “Why circumcision is good” and avoid anything that might challenge their belief.

They don’t want truth, they want validation.

And in a world where validation is easier than ever, truth doesn’t stand a chance.

The result? Generations of people repeating the same tired lines:

• “It’s cleaner.”

• “It’s just a snip.”

• “He won’t remember it.”

• “My doctor said it’s necessary.”

That’s not research. That’s regurgitation. And it’s the exact mindset that allows genital cutting to continue in a society that calls itself “civilized.”

The Circumcision Echo Chamber

Circumcision is one of the most disturbing examples of an echo chamber in action.

People don’t arrive at the decision to circumcise through research or logic. They arrive there through:

• Social pressure

• Cultural habits

• Medical gaslighting

• Lazy thinking

Most parents don’t even know what a foreskin is, what it does, or what’s lost. But they go through with it anyway because “everyone else does.”

They get defensive. They deflect. They deny. Because when you’ve made a decision based on no discernment, the truth is threatening.

Bad Judgment, No Discernment

Let me make this clear:

Judgment without discernment is ignorance with confidence.

People say “Do your own research,” but what they really mean is:

“Find someone who agrees with me so I can feel good about being wrong.”

Here’s the thing—discernment takes work.

It means:

• Sitting with discomfort

It’s a rare quality. And in a culture that values convenience over truth, most people just don’t have it.

Love Requires Discernment

If you’re a parent, you’re not supposed to follow the crowd. You’re supposed to protect your child, especially when they can’t protect themselves.

Love isn’t about doing what’s popular. It’s about doing what’s right—even when it pisses people off.

Even when your doctor rolls their eyes.

Even when your family pressures you.

Even when society calls it normal.

Because what’s “normal” has harmed more children than you can count.

Breaking the Echo
